With the wiring loom modifications mostly complete it was time to offer it up to the engine and get it all the major components hooked up. The plan is to connect it to a battery so I can power up and check everything out and keep an eye on the fault codes if any appear. Using velcro straps to hold everything together is proving a good idea. It allows easy repositioning of wires without having to keep cutting zip ties. The correct place to connect the thick black earth strap is not obvious when looking at the loom. The Haynes manual had this picture under the fuel system section. This image is much clearer than the one in the electrical section. The component circled is the atmospheric pressure sensor. according to the Haynes manual it is attached to the motorbike subframe and I believe it pokes out underneath into free air which makes sense. I will need to research where best to place this in the mini.
